Every laptop gets the same technical inspection, the same thorough cleaning and the same standards from us. The difference between our conditions is only on the outside. With Like new you see nothing from 40 centimetres away. At most there is a very light scratch of a few millimetres on the housing, the side or the bottom. The screen is perfect, even when it is switched off.

The same inspection and treatment as a laptop in Like new condition. From 40 centimetres away you can see light scratches, up to a few centimetres, but they do not get in the way. With the screen off, very light lines are sometimes visible. As soon as it is on, you no longer see them. A few keys may have a slight shine. Excellent is our most chosen condition.

The same technical standard as all our other laptops, the difference is on the outside. With Good, scratches are clearly visible, including larger ones. Lines may be visible on the screen, both on and off, and with the screen on sometimes small bright spots. If you mainly care about how it works and a low price, Good is a smart choice.

A refurbished laptop is a previously used business laptop that we check technically, clean and prepare for use again. Every laptop is technically checked on more than 50 points and gets a clean installation of the operating system, without files or accounts from the previous user.
No. With second hand, a laptop simply moves from one owner to the next without anyone checking it. With refurbished there is a check in between: we test the hardware, replace whatever does not meet our standards, clean the device and reinstall the operating system. You also get a warranty, which you usually do not get when buying second hand.
Refurbished is not a protected quality class: there is no fixed testing procedure, so one seller runs a full technical check while another mostly just cleans a used device. So always ask what has been checked, how much warranty you get and what the condition actually means. With us every laptop is checked on more than 50 points, we guarantee a battery of at least 80% and the condition is stated honestly on the product page.
A properly checked refurbished laptop often lasts another three to five years with normal use. That is an average indication and not a fixed term: a laptop used for browsing, admin and video calls stays usable longer than a laptop running heavy software every day.
We guarantee a minimum battery capacity of 80%. Is the battery below that? Then we replace it. Every laptop also gets new thermal paste, so the processor can keep releasing its heat properly.
You get 12 to 24 months of warranty. Which term applies depends on the processor: 24 months from an Intel processor of the 8th generation, an AMD Ryzen from the 4000 series or an Apple M2 chip, and 12 months for older processors. The product page states what applies to that laptop.

The difference is only in the casing and the screen: with As new there are hardly any signs of use, with Excellent there are light scratches, and with Good they are more clearly visible. Yes. If you choose an upgrade when ordering, such as a Windows 11 installation or extra storage, we do that before the laptop leaves us. An upgrade does not delay dispatch: the same shipping schedule applies.
With a refurbished laptop you save around 75% CO₂ per year of use compared with a new one. Over a second life of three years that comes to about 82 kg CO₂e that is not emitted. These figures come from research by ADEME (2022) into the environmental impact of refurbished products.
You have 30 days to change your mind, starting the day after your order is received. The law requires two weeks. We give those 30 days voluntarily, and that does not limit your statutory rights.

14 inch is for most people the best trade between seeing and carrying. If you take it with you every day, 13 or 14 inch is more pleasant; if you work in a fixed spot with two windows side by side, 15 or 16 inch.
On choosing by screen size the dimensions and weights are set side by side per size.
For documents, mail and spreadsheets an Intel Core i5 or an AMD Ryzen 5 is more than enough. You only notice an i7 or Ryzen 7 with large files, many windows at once or image editing.
